In 2020, United Airlines became the first airline to commit to full carbon neutrality—an audacious goal driven in large part by CEO Scott Kirby’s love for the environment. We brought a small crew to the top of a mountain in his beloved Rockies to shoot this personal announcement of the new plan. In addition to social outreach, this piece ran on every United flight for more than two years.
